Scarves & Stoles
A simple stole or scarf is just enough to convert your simple outfit, to a super stylish one! What’s more it also keeps your sweat away as well as covers your scalp from scorching sun in summers & keeps your neck warm and ears covered in winters. A simple piece of fabric that’s a staple year long! What’s more fabulous than that? Having it super stylish and one of a kind and completely handmade. That’s exactly what happens with us, coz are all one of a kind, meaning you will never come across another person wearing the same that you’re wearing. Each and every piece is unique and completely handmade. That makes each and every one of it incredibly special.
The stoles & scarves are made not of leather, or synthetic materials, but of cotton. Even that cotton is not a run of the mill. The fabrics range from handloom, khadi (handspun and handloom) and rarely a millmade fabric as an addition to handmade fabrics. The color range is huge from pristine whites to subtle beiges to stark pinks to deep blues, mostly derived from natural sources – the natural dyes extracted from plants like turmeric, Indian madder, indigo etc, that are completely eco-friendly, whose production, processing and wastes do not pollute or poison Mother Earth.
The stoles and scarves are adorned with various specialties like stripes and checks made with handloom, a hint of bling with zari used in weaving as well as embroidery like zardozi and aari, textures created by weaving, hand embroidery like smocking, sewing like machine smocking, pin tucks etc, other techniques like handmade lace or crochet, motifs created using hand block printing, resist dyeing like batik, tie and dye etc, hand embroidery like thread work, appliqué, patch work etc as well as hand machine embroidery, and the best of all, hand woven techniques like Warp ikat (single ikat), warp & weft ikat (double ikat), dobby, jacquard etc.
On summers wrap your scarves around your head and protect your hair and scalp from the scorching sun. Also in summers your could wear it around your neck to prevent your back neck from getting tanned as well as to absorb the sweat when you’re active. In winters, wrap your scarves around your head and cover your ears from the chill atmosphere and also help your hair from getting super dry!
